Software requirements
Videos in this course have been created using the International language version of MEP Designer which means that the work environment and some of the content may be different if you are using a different language version or Archicad Collaborate.
To follow the demonstrations during this training, participants need to have MEP Designer 30 installed.
Recommended Learning
Previous knowledge of MEP Designer and Archicad is not necessarily required. Familiarity with MEP modeling, system connectivity, and hydronic calculation workflows from previous versions is recommended. The completion of Graphisoft Learn – MEP Designer course is advised.
Access time frame
Enrolling in this course will grant you 365-day access to the training starting on the day of enrollment. After the 365 days have passed, you will be deactivated from accessing the content of the course.
Awards
Concluding the training material, including the quit with a minimum of 60% achievement and filling out the satisfaction survey, will award you the Certificate of Completion for this training.

Here is the course outline:
WelcomeWe, Graphisoft, believe in the continuous innovation of our products and services. Therefore, we perfect our tools and workflows in each MEP Designer version to empower teams to create more reliable and efficient building services designs. |
Module I | Connectivity & EditingExplore MEP Designer's latest connectivity and editing improvements, designed to keep MEP systems intact while you work — including automatic alignments when moving connected elements, more flexible connections between different system types, easier rotating and flipping of accessories and terminals, and more controlled graphical editing of MEP elements. |
Module II | Geometry & Visual RoutingExplore MEP Designer’s latest routing geometry improvements, including more flexible slope values for gravity-based and e.g. roof-parallel systems, and a new transparent architectural view for coordinating MEP design with the building structure. |
Module III | System Setup & Distribution SystemsExplore the updated MEP Systems dialog, where system types are now categorized by distribution system for clearer organization and more consistent route graphics. |
Module IV | Schematic Representation & Floor Plan DisplayExplore the expanded control over how MEP routes and elements are displayed on the floor plan, supporting coordination views, schematic plans, and documentation-focused output from the same model. |
Module V | Symbols & Custom Symbol OptionsExplore the expanded options for creating and applying custom MEP symbols, so floor plan representation can be adapted to your own office standards. |
Module VI | Hydronic Cooling CalculationExplore how cooling systems are now integrated into MEP Designer's hydronic calculation workflow, alongside existing heating functionality. |
Module VII | Repairing Broken MEP ConnectionsExplore the new Repair Open Connection function, which helps identify and resolve hidden logical connection issues in your MEP model. |
Module VIII | CALHYDRA ConnectionExplore the CALHYDRA Connection Add-on, which extends MEP Designer's workflow to detailed hydraulic analysis based on European and German standards. |
Module IX | Basic Electrical System DesignExplore the new electrical design capabilities in MEP Designer, extending the platform to support panels, circuits, connected devices, and electrical documentation. |
